Description
Many people in Chaoshan, China prefer to use Zisha teapots to brew oolong tea. Because of the amount and volume of leaf used, the pot is often placed in a large bowl and showered with boiling water, to help the pot hold in heat and stimulate the tea’s aroma within. In order to ensure the teapot remains balanced in the water, a tea maker specially designed this pot with its spout up and horizontal in level with the body opening and handle; this style of pot is called “Shui Ping”, and is capable of floating on water.
